I’m still not done posting photos from our Have Love Will Travel trip this past summer! These photos from the summer and the desert will get me through the cold, damp winter.
We’re staying with our friends Mandy and Earl while in SLC. Mandy has a Canon DSLR as well. She has a slightly older model than I do but I can use her lenses on my camera. I tried out her wide angle lens today and OH MY! I need one of these! It’s so awesome to shoot with. After I put my kit lens back on my camera I was a little disappointed. The wide angle lens takes great shots. If you would like to donate to the “Smartz needs (wants!) a wide angle lens” fund I won’t say no! 🙂
I’ve been shooting with both of these lately. It’s a fun change to go from holding the hefty Canon to the plastic Diana mini!
I bought this delightful little camera last week. She’s super small, lightweight and she take 35mm film! She even has a cute little flash with her. Eric has been using his Holga lately and it’s made me want to try some film. Well he actually has two Holga cameras AND he has a Kodak Brownie!
I purchased this camera on Ebay. It was new and never used and it was a heck of a lot cheaper than buying one directly from the Diana site. I was rather uncertain of the pink color, but I was getting a good deal on it so I figured I would either live it with or I could possibly paint it. It’s actually not as obnoxious as it seems! It’s bright in this photo, but it’s a bit tamer in real life. I think she’ll stay just the color she is!
We’ve kind of become obsessed with cameras. I have the mini Diana, two Polaroids and my Canon Rebel T2i. It’s making traveling and taking photos fun and interesting, but now we also have to think about how we’re supposed to transport all of these cameras safely! I think I’m going to need a bigger camera bag!
I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting a DSLR camera. What is a DSLR?…”Digital single-lens reflex cameras (digital SLR or DSLR) are digital cameras that use a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera.”
I do love the Canon EOS Rebel T2i!
But I would also want to buy a few lenses with this guy. And when all is said and done I’m pretty sure I’d be spending at least $1,000. But I don’t really know if it’s worth is. I would LOVE to have one…but…$1,000. Does anyone else out there use a DSLR?
Today I also decided that I’ve like a Polaroid camera. I found a place online where I can buy the film. I can also buy film that is actually on a postcard so I can mail those!
But this one has the ability to do close-up shots.
The Polaroid cameras are so cheap that I think I WILL buy one, but the DSLR is a different story.
