Indian food and kitten snacks!

Eric and I spent a few hours in Seattle today. We decided to try an Indian restaurant we never ate at before.

We went to Jewel of India in the U-District. We decided to sample the pakoras and samosas!

Pakoras! Basically deep friend vegetables in a delicious batter.

Here's my samosa! There were potatoes and peas on the inside.

Eric's food is on the left and that means mine is on the right. He had Aloo Gobhi (cauliflower and potatoes with Indian spices). I had Aloo Matar (peas and potatoes with Indian spices).

Look at the cute bowls the food was served in!

Aloo Matar with Basmati rice!

Tonight I made homemade hot chocolate. It was tolerable...but not the best hot chocolate in the world.

I made Juniper a snack tonight. I soaked a few soy curls in water.

And then I coated them in nutritional yeast.

Juniper LOOVES these little treats!

NOM NOM kitten!!
