adventures with herc and smartz.

the past few weeks have been busy at work. the spring rush is finally starting to slow down though. as it slows down i feel like i can finally rest a little more. i haven’t been as tired as i was the past few weeks so i thought i should give everyone an update on what eric and i have been doing lately.

two weeks ago we took a weekend trip around the peninsula. we saw some big trees, the little town or forks, and the pacific ocean! here are a few photos, but eric also posted our photos here…click click!!

last weekend we went to snoqualmie to ride the train. herc was rather excited for this!! i offered to buy him an engineer’s hat at the train station gift shop, but he declined. maybe next time! there was quite the variety of people on board. there was a small birthday party for a little boy, a lady who was playing some sort of woodwind instrument…thankfully she was at the opposite end of the train, and then us…we were just there for some rail action. the train ride was about 90 minutes long. a longer ride would be fun too. trains are much more interesting when you ride it with someone else. unlike my train ride from harrisburg, pa to salt lake city, utah…

eric and i are planning on taking the train from seattle to spokane sometime in the summer. that ride will take us near some of the places we’ve traveled many times before in a car.

i can’t wait for summer! seattle just has to get the hint and warm up!
